"The Nose Upon His Face"
By C. J. Bognar
With ninety thousand muscles plus
Six feet from tip to base
This versatile contraption
Is the nose upon his face
It's the nose upon his face
And forms his top lip too
When not employed in other things
It's what he breathes air through
With strength that none can equal
It can uproot a mighty tree
And using delicate precision
Even lift a tiny pea
It's a stethoscope and snorkel
A divining rod and hose
I can't imagine anything
That's like an elephant's nose.
