"A Moonlit Night"

by C. J. Bognar

On a moonlit night when the sky is like lace

Look to the ocean

in a far off place

One is the first of many to come

Their numbers will multiply

Their life force grow strong

Their desire for life will carry them through

All the ignorance and cuelty

They come in peace

and should not be denied

How foolish to think they could be

Red is the color you see

Try to heed it

The color of passion and fervor and spirit

The color of life

The color of love

The color which portends of things to come

Be not afraid on A Moonlit Night

As the elephants Voyage for Home

They are the Ancient Mariners

The Guardians of the Soul

Watch for them by Moonlight

Say a prayer to guide their way

We're on the Threshold to the Millennium

The Dawning of a New Day
