"Tribute to Tuskless"
Oil on canvas 48" x 60"
$6,500
Tuskless, the matriarch of a small struggling herd in Amboselli, Kenya, was only 35, when she was tragically gunned down in 1997 by the Kenya Wildlife Service, as a result of false identity, after a Masai cow was killed by an elephant . She had two surviving daughters: Tulip, 13 and Teula, only 4.
The story of Tuskless ( as told by Cynthia Moss) touched me very deeply and this painting is the result.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting will go to benefit African Elephants.
